At Matthew’s & Co., our apprenticeship program is thoughtfully designed to deliver beautiful results while nurturing the next generation of talented stylists. Our apprentices receive daily, hands-on education while working side by side with our highly trained and experienced master stylists. Throughout every appointment, they are encouraged to ask questions, receive real-time feedback, and benefit from valuable one-on-one mentoring while assisting. In addition to daily learning on the salon floor, apprentices also participate in monthly classroom-style education led by seasoned industry educators, ensuring a strong foundation in both technique and theory.
Apprentice services are never done in isolation. Every appointment is supported, guided, and approved by senior stylists, so quality and consistency are always upheld. These services include extra time, allowing for a more relaxed, intentional pace where nothing feels rushed. This creates space for thoughtful consultations, attention to detail, and results that feel personalized to you. Once an apprentice’s skills have been thoroughly assessed and approved, they begin taking model clients every Tuesday and Thursday, offering guests an opportunity to experience great hair at an exceptional value.
